Olympic champions on tour in Hong Kong

China

Very political. Having returned from the Paris 2024 Games just two weeks ago, the Chinese medalists will travel to Hong Kong this weekend. A mass trip, the delegation led by Gao Zhidan, the president of the national Olympic committee (COC), comprising 65 athletes, including 59 gold medalists at the Olympic Games. They will visit Hong Kong from August 29 to 31, where they are scheduled to participate in several very official receptions and host a series of demonstrations. A similar trip is planned for early September in Macau. All Chinese Olympic champions at the 2024 Paris Games will be on the trip, with the exception of tennis player Zheng Qinwen (photo above), victorious in the women's singles, who has already left for New York to play the US Open.
