Olympic archives, a "gold mine" at the heart of a three-year agreement

IOC

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced an agreement with Infront, a leading sports marketing company, to commercialize Olympic Games archive footage. The material is considerable since we are talking here about “more than 60.000 hours of audiovisual content” since the first Games of the modern era. "A goldmine for the history of sport", said Julien Ternisien, senior vice-president in charge of summer and winter sports at Infront. “There is an unprecedented demand for this type of content that is intended to be used in films and documentaries and, through this collaboration with the IOC, we want to harness the power of these moments to inspire fans around the world.”, he explains. This collaboration will last up to 2028. "This agreement signed with Infront helps us to sharing the richness of Olympic history with a wider audience, while ensuring that the legacy of our athletes is honored”, supports Jérôme Parmentier, Vice-President in charge of media rights and content partnerships at the IOC's television and marketing services. This partnership will thus make it possible to highlight the moments that shaped the Games and to “bringing new stories to life”.
