CNOSF

The Paris 2024 Games have passed, but the Olympic and Paralympic Week (SOP) is back! The event will celebrate its ninth edition, from March 31 to April 4. Véronique Moreira, vice-president of the CNOSF in charge of education, has set several ambitions, in particular "to make this event encompass all young people, from kindergarten to university ». This SOP must be “a strong unifying moment” et “prolong the magic of the Games”she insists. « Nearly 140 athletes responded favorably and are volunteers to hold meetings in schools”, by physically moving, connecting remotely or sending videos to establishments.

Veronique Moreira notes "a fallout" compared to the 2024 edition, but participation will be "completely correct", with some 560.000 students concerned and 1.500 proposed projects. The Olympic sabre champion Manon Apithy-Brunet, ambassador of the event, agreed to support the SOP for "share her passion" et "remember that you have to do sport", both for physical health and mental well-being. The other ambassador, Arnaud Assoumani, Paralympic long jump champion in Beijing, sees the opportunity to recall that sport constitutes “the best tool for connecting with others” et “our best lever for health, prevention” et "overcoming differences ».
