The CAN 2015 soap opera now has an almost daily episode. Saturday November 8, Morocco reiterated its request to postpone the African Football Cup of Nations and asked the CAF (Confederation of African Football) for a one-year delay due to the Ebola epidemic. Through its president, Issa Hayatou, CAF refused and threatened Morocco to withdraw the organization of the event, by canceling it or moving it to another country. But the Moroccan authorities are not giving in. The Ministry of Sports reaffirmed its position, citing “a strictly health case of force majeure” and a decision taken “after careful consideration”. A new meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 11. It could be decisive.
