50 tons of food distributed to charities

No waste. The Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games Organising Committee focused on redistributing the uneaten food at the Olympic and Paralympic venues. He has become close to several local associations to allow their distribution to vulnerable people.

La Lombardy Food Bank recovered more than 22.000 portions of prepared meals and more than 42 tonnes of food surplusincluding bread, fruit, vegetables, raw materials, and bulk foodstuffs. The Veneto Food Bank collected over 5.900 portions of meals and a total of 2,7 tons of surplus food, which benefited associations in Verona, Belluno, and Mestre. Val di FiemmeMore than 4,4 tons of food were collected thanks to the work of 15 volunteers.
