Light the fire! Milan-Cortina 2026 torches were unveiled this Monday at two simultaneous events at the Milan Triennale and Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. Dubbed "Essential" for their minimalist design, the torches were designed by Eni, premium partner of the 2026 Winter Games, in collaboration with Versalis (Eni), official supporter of the Games. The Olympic torch bears shades of green and blue, while the Paralympic torch presents coppery hues.

Their refined form "highlights the Flame, embodying a perfect balance between technology, innovation and sustainability », the organization welcomes. “Every detail has been designed to embody the strength and determination of the athletes, and their power to unite through sport.” The two torches will be on display at the Italy Pavilion for the duration of Expo 2025 Osaka, as well as at the Milan Triennale, starting in May. Once the Games are over, the Olympic torch will join the collection of the Olympic Museum of Lausanne. " Particular care was taken in the choice of energy supplying the Flame: the burner, the true technological heart of the torch, operates on bio-LPG, produced 100% from renewable raw materials at the Enilive biorefinery in Gela, including used cooking oils and agri-food residues ", specifies the press release from the organizers.
