And they're off again! With the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Games now over, it's the Paralympic Games' turn to take center stage. The first symbolic step takes place this Tuesday: the Paralympic flame will be lit in Stoke Mandeville (United Kingdom), the historic birthplace of the Paralympic movement. It will then travel the management of Italy, and more specifically TurinA way of giving a nod to 2006 Paralympic Gamesthe very first ones organized in the country.

The relay will focus on northern Italy, with stops in Milan (February 25), Bolzano (February 27), Cortina d'Ampezzo (March 3), and Venice (March 4). However, visits by the flame are also planned to other regions, including Rome, Bari, Naples, and Bologna, to involve the entire country. In total, 501 porters will take turns over 2.000 kilometers.
