A survey conducted by the Piepoli Institute, in collaboration with the consulting firm WePlan, shows that the Italian population largely embraced the concept of Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter GamesAccording to the data, 78% of Italians followed the Games79% of respondents believe that the model of Scattered Games was a wise decision, despite the criticisms regarding travel times.

77% also believe that the use of existing sites contributed to the quality of the competitions. 79% of Italians believe this model could be replicated in the future to host other major events. There is also satisfaction regarding the legacy for Italy: 77% say that the Games have helped to improve the country's international image and 76% that they had a significant impact on the economy. Italians are quite happy to have hosted the Olympics, and this is good news for CONI as discussions are underway regarding a future bid for the Summer Games.
