China tops the medal table at the Paralympic Games

And the winner is ... China finishes top of the medal table of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Paralympic Games. The Chinese delegation largely dominated the competition with 44 medals including 15 goldahead of the United States (24 medals, 13 gold) and Russia, whose comeback was closely watched. Despite a delegation of only six athletes, the Russians won 12 medals, including eight gold. Italy, playing at home, takes fourth place final with 16 medals including seven titles.

France, which had high expectations four years before the Games on home soil, leaves with a sixth place and a total of twelve medals. Austria (5th), Ukraine (7th), Canada (8th), the Netherlands (9th) and Sweden (10th) complete the top 10. Twenty-seven nations reached the podiumincluding Brazil for the first time.
