Eurosport was a huge success, and so was France Télévisions. The public broadcaster of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics attracted 55 million French people tuned in to its channels during the Games. 93% of men, 92% of women, 85% of 15-24 year olds and 92% of working people were affected during the fortnight. France 2 was the leading national channel during the Games with 18,7% audience share.
The biggest audience peak was recorded during Guillaume Cizeron and Laurence Fournier Beaudry's gold medal win in figure skating: 6,6 million viewers...just a little more than the 6,5 million viewers who tuned in to the women's mass start, the final biathlon race of these Games, on Saturday. Biathlon also featured prominently in the mixed relay, which drew 5,8 million viewers.

Beyond the competitions, the JO Club magazine was watched by an average of 1,4 million viewers. The france.tv platform also broke a record with 57 million video views, three times more than at Beijing 2022. On social media, France Télévisions notes " 566 million video views on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X The group concluded his press release in this way: " France Télévisions thanks the 55 million French people who tuned in to its channels and platforms and invites them to join us for an exclusive event. the Paralympic Games from March 6 to 15 2026. »
