MLB slowly moves closer to a deal for the 2028 Olympics

Los Angeles 2028

After the NFL and the NHL, the MLB? Major League Baseball should follow in the footsteps of its counterparts in American football and ice hockey in preparation for Los Angeles 2028. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred addressed an encouraging message for an agreement to be reached in the direction of participation of the league's players in the next Olympic Games.

"There were discussions about the Olympic Games, he said after a meeting of franchise owners, as reported by The Sports Examiner. I think that we have made progress with LA28 regarding what that might look like." He also indicated that it was necessary to " talk to some partners about the changes that should be made in relation to the Olympic Games "The focus is on the FOX channel and the All-Star Game: since 1982, The league's All-Star Game is always held in July…the same period as the Olympic Games (July 14-30, 2028).
