Orlando intends to establish itself as an essential stopover before Los Angeles. The city has submitted its application to host the Olympic qualifying series for the 2028 GamesThis qualification format was first introduced in 2024. Shanghai and Budapest had been chosen as host cities, with BMX freestyle, breaking, skateboarding and climbing events on the program.
Instead of two stages, three are expected. between April and June 2028for BMX freestyle, skateboarding, climbing, 3x3 basketball, beach volleyball and flag football. We are excited that Orlando will be able to host the 2028 Olympic qualifying series. Camping World Stadiumwhich is currently undergoing renovation and expansion to enhance the experience for athletes and fans. This would be a wonderful opportunity for our community to once again play a role in the Olympic Games while showcasing the dynamism of Orlando to the world.
