The organizing committee of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games presented its sourcing strategy. LA28 identified its needs, in terms of goods and servicesand will choose which companies to work with in the coming months. The organization anticipates that 75% of eligible procurement spending will be directed to the Greater Los Angeles area, and 25% to small enterprisesA way to directly involve local businesses.
LA28 will develop, with Intuit, a special program to ensure that local small businesses have access to resourcesto support and opportunities. The organization of the Olympic and Paralympic Games is a unique opportunity to invest in Los Angeles and to strengthen businesses which keep our region goingsaid Reynold Hoover, general manager of LA28. This plan lays the groundwork for our work to provide clarity to local businesses and small enterprises so they can seize this opportunity.
