« Sport and culture are not meant to be separated., insists Nora Halpern, general manager of the Cultural Olympiad. The Olympic Games speak of the joy of effort, mutual support, and the celebration of what unites us as human beings. This is precisely the reason for the existence of the Cultural Olympiad. We deliberately designed the Cultural Olympiad starting from local communitiesso that it accurately reflects the voices of our territory. The Cultural Olympiad must belong to Los Angeles, not just take place there. We wish so that every resident of the city can see themselves reflected in our program. »
