The Olympic Works Delivery Company (SOLIDEO) presented its wishes to the press on Thursday. Its mission did not end at the same time as the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games: it remains responsible, until December, for "ensure the reconversion of Olympic and Paralympic sites". The works used in the framework of the JOP are gradually converted into facilities, housing and offices to ensure the legacy of the event. The process is already well underway. The Games will leave a mark, for example, with the Camille Muffat Aquatic Center, accessible to the public for several weeks in Aubervilliers, or with the Louafi Bouguera bridge, inaugurated on December 7, which will facilitate travel from Île-Saint-Denis to Saint-Denis. The media village, for its part, has been welcoming its first residents since the end of 2024. Twenty works will be delivered during 2025, including the athletes' village, which will be occupied by the first residents and businesses in the fall.
" I am immensely proud of the work accomplished until now, confides Yann Krysinski, executive general director of SOLIDEO. Not only did we deliver on time and on budget, we also showed the world the France's ability to build in an exemplary manner, both from an environmental and societal point of view. Our goal for 2025 is to continue this momentum by ensuring the reconversion of Olympic infrastructure into real assets for our territories, while sharing our know-how with other ambitious projects around the world. Four works requiring longer works will open beyond 2025, including schools in Saint-Denis.
