The General Assembly of the International Table Tennis Federation decided this Tuesday. The 2027 World Championships will take place in Astana (Kazakhstan), which was in competition with Montpellier (France) and San Jose (United States). A disappointment for the city of the Lebrun brothers and for the French federation, which hoped to capitalize on the Paris 2024 Games. The 2029 edition will be organized in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)The Brazilian capital was chosen over Germany, China and the United States. Finally, the 2028 World Team Championships were awarded to Fukuoka (Japan), which no longer had an opponent following Italy's withdrawal.
