Luciano Rossi is campaigning. The ISSF president met with representatives of the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committeeincluding Kit McConnell and sport director Brendan Keane last week in Australia. He also met with Queensland's Minister for Sport, Tim Mander. A valuable meeting for to ensure that sport shooting will occupy a good place in the program of the Olympic Games.
The strategic discussions "Thus took place regarding the location and position of sport shooting in the Brisbane 2032 program. The ISSF highlighted the benefits that sport shooting could bring to the city, the state, and the country, taking as examples the results achieved by China, South Korea, India, and Japan. A visit to the Belmont Shooting Complex It was also organised to identify the work and infrastructure needed for the site if it were selected for the Games.
The ISSF delegation took the opportunity to exchange views with Peter Doig, Executive Director of the Queensland Shooting Association, on the legacy of the Games and on the possibility of organizing international shooting events in Brisbane before the Olympic Games.
