The Council of the International Ice Hockey Federation has once again examined the Russian case. Wishing to decide on a case-by-case basis, it analyzed the possibility of Russia participating in five World Championships scheduled for 2027 : men, women, juniors, U18 men and U18 women.

The case of Belarus was also analyzed. The Council did not authorize its participation in the Men's and Junior World Championships. However, it will be able to field a team in the Women's World Championship (Division IV) and the two U18 World Championships.
