The International Forum for Sports Integrity returns four years later

The IOC is organizing the fifth this Friday International Forum for Sports Integrity (IFSI), four years after the previous edition. More than 400 leaders from the Olympic Movement, governments, intergovernmental agencies and authorities or entities responsible for sports betting will be present to discuss the challenges related to integrity in sport. This forum is intended to be a platform for strengthen global collaboration and better understand new challenges and opportunities, including the growing role of technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Four panels will be on the program:

  • Strengthening the integrity of sports organizations is a shared responsibility
  • The Role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Integrity of Technical Officials
  • Combating the manipulation of team competitions
  • Protection in sport – specificities, intersections and contextualized approaches to integrity

The IOC President Kirsty Coventry will open the event with a speech starting at 9 a.m. Ingmar de Vos, President of the FEI and ASOIF, Colin Smith, Director General of the ISU, and Prince Feisal, IOC member and former presidential candidate, are among the speakers who will be invited. The forum will conclude with the adoption of a Universal Declaration on Integrity in Sport, between 12:40 p.m. and 13:00 p.m. depending on the program. It will be broadcast in its entirety on YouTube.
