Santa Claus came early for the IOC. The organization received the “Low Carbon” priceawarded by the Geneva-based network 2050Today. This award recognizes the IOC's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint: between 2021 and 2024, it has reduced by 30% compared to the 2016-2019 period. The consequence of measures taken, particularly in the area of business travel, with meetings held at adjusted frequencies and more video conferences.

The body has set the objective of reduce its footprint by 50% by 2030.
