France is officially a candidate to organize Euro 2015 basketball, initially entrusted to Ukraine, the president of the French federation (FFBA) said on his Twitter account on Monday. Ukraine's political crisis has led to serious delays in preparations for the competition and raises questions about kyiv's ability to deliver on its commitments. Paris therefore proposed its candidacy to international bodies. Ukraine was designated in 2011. Contacts were made between France and Ukraine on this issue, according to Jean-Pierre Siutat.
