The FIE has just confirmed that it will propose two days of training on safety in sporton July 22nd and 24th, before the World Championships in Hong Kong. The workshop, open to all national federations, will host experts from across the Olympic MovementIt will provide a framework for discussions on measures to protect athletes, particularly against harassment and abuse.

A sign that the FIE is taking the subject very seriously: it will soon have six professionals holding the IOC certification of those responsible for protection in sport, a training program on athlete welfare and the fight against harassment and abuse.
