Brand new and beautiful! The website of the International Fencing Federation The website underwent a facelift just before the World Championships, which begin on July 22nd in Hong Kong. Three key principles guided this project: modernization, accessibility, and showcasing the athletes. The fencing community (athletes, officials, etc.) was consulted beforehand to make the site more appealing and user-friendly.
The FIE has ensured that the results of recent fights and head-to-head data are made more accessible, to embed videos from FencingTVand to optimize the interface for smartphones and tablets. The site is also available in English, French and Spanish. « The main objective of this new website was to to give greater prominence to the athletes and their journeysIn doing so, we have created a platform where the fencing community can come together, grow, and flourish., says Abdelmoneim El Husseiny, interim president of the FIE. This redesign reflects our strong commitment to modernization, transparency and accessibility for all those involved in fencing. »
