Ski

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has engaged with Signify Group to combat online abuse and threats. This collaboration should make it possible to protect more than 1.000 skiers, snowboarders and officials on X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, until the end of the 2026-2027 season. This service will take into account public messages as well as private messages received by athletes or officials. Signify Group has developed an artificial intelligence, Threat Matrix, which will be mobilized here to identify abusive content and its authors so that they can be prosecuted. The objective is also to work with the platforms and to supplement the FIS's intelligence on its operational environment.

"Our policy is that of zero toleranceThe partnership with the Signify Group is the cornerstone of this position", justifies Sarah Fussek, director of integrity of the FIS. “As we strengthen our digital presence and channel reach, we do so with a growing commitment to protecting these online spaces against abuse and to ensure that they are not only entertaining platforms, but also safe platforms.", adds Benjamin Stoll, FIS Director of Innovation and Digital.

"FIS has shown great leadership and vision on the growing issue of online abuse and threats, says Jake Marsh, head of sports at Signify. At the heart of the Threat Matrix service is the commitment to protecting athletes and officials through action – whether content removal, threat identification, from their real-world mitigation, to law enforcement – and we are fully focused on achieving these and other goals with FIS over the coming years.”
