International Luge Federation The festivities kick off this Monday in Berchtesgaden, Germany, with the 74th congress in its history. Tuesday's program will be even more extensive with the elections for the next Olympic cycle, the awarding of the FIL Championships until 2030, the choice of the venue for the 2028 Congress, and the submission of applications for future championships.
La International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS), for its part, is meeting in Belgrade on Wednesday and Thursday. Members will have to decide on the idea of creating a new category of membership — “Affiliated Organization”, examine the applications of Guinea-Bissau and Belize seeking to move from associate to full member status, as well as that of India, which hopes to be reinstated as a full member.
The International Skating Union (ISU) has chosen Tenerife (Spain) as the meeting point, from Wednesday to Friday.
