The Association of African National Olympic Committees (ACNOA) is not idle during the Paris 2024 Games. It took advantage of the presence in the French capital of all its members to hold an extraordinary general assembly. Marked by the arrival of Thomas Bach, it allowed the body to suddenly award a handful of multi-sport events for the next Olympiad. It has thus been confirmed that the African Beach Games will be held in 2025 in Equatorial Guinea. The first edition of the African School Games, also scheduled for 2025, has been entrusted to Algeria, homeland of ANOCA President Mustapha Berraf. The organization of the 2027 African Games has been awarded to Egypt. Finally, the African Youth Games will take place next year in Angola.
