June is shaping up to be a particularly busy month for European Olympic CommitteesBefore the IOC Session (June 24-25) and the European Games Chefs of Mission Seminar (June 29 to July 3), they are meeting this week in Budapest. The Hungarian capital is hosting the meeting of the COE executive committee this Thursday, June 11, then the 55th General Assembly, Friday and Saturday.
Logically, the discussion will focus on... European Games in Istanbulwhich will take place in one year, from June 16 to 27, 2027. The IOC President Kirsty Coventry will be present and will notably discuss the Fit for the Future process. This week will also see the election of the winner of the Piotr Nurowski Prize, which celebrates the best young European athlete.
