Donald Rukare re-elected as head of the Ugandan Olympic Committee

Donald Rukare is back for a second term. The president of the Ugandan Olympic Committee (UOC), in office since february 2021, was re-elected at the UOC general assembly. A formality since he had no opponent.He will lead Uganda's Olympic movement up to 2029. At the same time, the former swimmer is also vice-president of the African Swimming Federation and member of the World Aquatics board. Godwin Arinaitwe Kayangwe and Moses Benon Mwase will serve as its vice-presidents within the UOC for the next four years. Beatrice Ayikoru (general secretary), Sadik Nasiwu (treasurer), Lydia Gloria Dhamuzungu (deputy general secretary), Robert Jaggwe, Harriet Ayaa, Richard McBond Asiimwe and Anne Mungoma complete the UOC executive board, composed of six men and four women.
