Davide Tizzano, president of the CIJM, has died

Mediterranean games

Italian sport is in mourning. Davide Tizzano passed away on December 29th at the age of 57 years. Two Olympic champion rowing (in the quadruple sculls at Seoul 1988 and in the double sculls at Atlanta 1996), he was currently President of the Italian Rowing Federation and of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games (CIJM). His funeral took place on Tuesday, December 30th in Naples.

A member of the CIJM executive committee from 2013 to 2021, he had been elected president in October 2021.
