Historic Youth Olympic Games for triathlon. Quotas have been allocated and 63 National Olympic Committees are on the list for Dakar 2026. A record at the Youth Olympic Games, far exceeding the 43 NOCs that competed in Buenos Aires in 2018. Among the NOCs in contention, 27 will be represented for the first time in triathlon at the Youth Olympic Games. The African continent is particularly successful with 11 NOCs (Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, Morocco, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Senegal, Tunisia, Zimbabwe), whereas there were only four in 2018.

The triathlon events are scheduled for November 5th and 6th.
