The first Olympic event held in Africa is drawing near. The Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee has taken another step forward by publishing the complete schedule of events, spread across Dakar, Saly and DiamniadioFirst lesson: Baseball5 will have the honor of opening the ball starting October 30th. The following day, the day of the opening ceremony, sea rowing, beach volleyball and table tennis will also be on the program.

From October 31 to November 13, 2026, Dakar, Saly and Diamniadio will vibrate to the rhythm of the first Olympic event organized on the African continent.

The first week will showcase swimming, rugby sevens, triathlon, equestrian sports, and badminton, while the second week will feature fencing, athletics, sailing, and taekwondo. The Games will conclude on November 13 with beach handball, breaking, and fencing, preceding the closing ceremony.
