White smoke! Edgar Grospiron's office confirmed that the president of OCOG 2030 had found the general manager he had been looking for so many weeks in order to truly take action. According to L'Equipe and RMC Sport, it is Cyril Linette. The latter has been much talked about in France in recent months since he was candidate for the presidency of the Professional Football League, an election he lost to the incumbent president, Vincent Labrune. Cyril Linette was notably sports director of Canal+ (2008-2015), CEO of the L'Equipe group (2015-2018) and general manager of PMU (2018-2021). The OCOG executive board will meet on April 7 and is expected to confirm his appointment.
