What will the mascot be called? 2027 World Cycling Championships The Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc organizing committee has opened a online voting so that the public can decide. The mascot, a sporty marmot, had already been unveiled several months ago. Three options are offered : Yauti, a reference to "la Yaute", meaning Haute-Savoie in Savoyard dialect; Arvi, which means "goodbye" in Savoyard; or Marcy, a contraction of marmot and cycle. The public can vote until June 28th.
The mascot will be very visible in the coming months: eager to boost its visibility, the organizing committee recently posted a job opening to find an actor to portray the mascot. The elected official will be available on June 24th in Thonon-les-Bains, and from June 26th to 28th for the... French Road Cycling Championships in La Tour-du-Pin, at the Plateau des Glières on June 30, or even in July, during the Tour de France.
