End of story. After a long saga marked by sometimes confusing episodes, the Swiss resort of Crans-Montana has finally obtained the certainty of organizing the Alpine Ski World Championships in 2027. The host city contract was validated at the end of last week by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). At the beginning of the year, the FIS cast doubt on the hosting of the 2027 World Championships by the Swiss resort, explaining that Swiss-Ski had not respected the required commitments. The international body had even suggested that it would not have " no choice but to award the 2027 Alpine Ski World Championships to another candidate. » The dispute is now settled. The Alpine Ski World Championships will be able to be held in Crans-Montana, ten years after the last edition in Switzerland, organized in Saint-Moritz. The next edition will take place in 2025 in Saalbach, Austria.
