Malta has been designated as host of the 2027 Commonwealth Youth Games. Around 1.100 athletes are expected on site in two years for the eighth edition of the event. Eight disciplines will be on the program, including sailing and water polo for the first timeAthletics, para athletics, netball, squash, swimming, para swimming, triathlon and weightlifting will also be on the agenda. Four competition clusters have been identified on two islands, Malta and Gozo.
