Claudia Bokel, the 2001 world fencing champion, was re-elected Monday evening in Sochi as president of the IOC Athletes' Commission. A position which ensures the German, aged 40, a place on the executive commission of the Olympic institution. She was elected for the first time in 2012 at the London Games. And therefore returns for a new two-year term at the head of this commission which has 22 athletes. Proof of the feminization of the IOC: American ice hockey player Angela Ruggiero, Olympic champion in Nagano in 1998, was elected vice-president, where she will replace the Briton Adam Pengilly.
