A new take for China. According to the agency Xinhua, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) would have awarded the city of Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, the organization of the artistic gymnastics world championships in 2027. The decision would have been taken during the last executive committee of the FIG , at the end of November in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It would then have been notified to the Chinese gymnastics federation by a letter from the secretary general of the body, Nicolas Buompane. The Worlds are scheduled to be held from September 28 to October 6, 2027. They will be the third in history hosted by China, after Tianjin in 1999 and Nanning in 2014.
