Death of Hamad Kalkaba Malboum, president of the Cameroonian National Olympic Committee

The Olympic Movement is in mourning. Wednesday evening, the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC) announced the death of its president, Colonel Hamad Kalkaba Malboumin Yaoundé. Aged 75, he was also president of the African Athletics Confederation and a member of the World Athletics council.

« A major figure in the African and international sports movement, he leaves behind a legacy of exceptional commitment to sport and the Olympic idealHis death is an immense loss for Cameroon, for Africa and the world, as well as for all those involved in the Olympic movement. " wrote the CNOSC in a statement.
