A little over two years before the Rio Games, Brazilian athletics is pulling out all the stops. The Brazilian Olympic Committee has requested the services of Michael Johnson, the world record holder in the 400m, to act as “advisor” to the Brazilian athletics team. The Texan arrived in Rio de Janeiro at the start of the week. He will soon choose a handful of Brazilian athletes who will join him in the spring in his training camp in the United States.
