The current doping scandal which is shaking up world athletics will have at least one interest: forcing all countries which still do not yet have one to have a national anti-doping agency. Next on the list could be Botswana. According to the national press, its Olympic committee is in advanced discussions with the country's political authorities to soon create such an organization. Without having an agency dedicated to the fight against doping, the matter is currently being handled by the Botswana National Olympic Committee. As for the tests carried out in the country, their results are analyzed by the laboratory in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
