The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) has named its winners for 2018. Among the women, American gymnast Simone Biles wins the prize. On the men's side, Croatian footballer Luka Modric, already named Ballon d'Or, came out on top in the votes for the title of male athlete of the year. Unsurprisingly, the French football team won the team sports category. Finally, the AIPS placed the football World Cup facilities in Russia at the top of the ranking of the best facilities for the press. No less than 359 sports journalists, from 87 countries, took part in the vote.
