Australia enters the fight

Doping

Australian sport does not joke about the fight against doping. Its Olympic Committee (AOC) announced that it had introduced new rules requiring the country's athletes and officials to respond in good faith to a questionnaire from the Australian Anti-Doping Agency (ASADA). The AOC specified that athletes and managers who did not comply with this new rule would exclude themselves from any Australian Olympic selection. A decision which follows a recent investigation which revealed regular use of banned substances by athletes in the country.
