
Ten years! Absent from the calendar since the 2016 edition, held in Vietnam, the Asian Beach Games will make their grand return in 2026. The city of Sanya, located in southern China, has been officially designated host of the event by the Olympic Council of Asia. The decision was made at the OCA General Assembly in Kuwait.

The competition will take place the 22 30 April 2026 theNext step: the announcement of the sports program. In 2016, more than 2.000 athletes participated, and around twenty sports were on the program, from beach handball to swimming, including pétanque, rowing and even combat sports like muay thai.
