During the Winter Games, work continues in the fight against doping. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announces that it has removed two Asian countries, Indonesia and Thailand, from the list of non-compliant signatories to the World Anti-Doping Code. The Indonesian and Thai national anti-doping organizations were declared non-compliant by the WADA Executive Committee on September 14, 2021. They were removed from the lists less than a month later, with immediate effect. They have just found their place. In the case of Indonesia, non-compliance was linked to gaps in the implementation of an effective controls program. For Thailand, it concerned the incomplete implementation of the 2021 version of the Code in its legal system. The two national anti-doping agencies having fulfilled their obligations, they were removed from the list of non-compliant signatories. There are currently two non-compliant signatories to the Code: North Korea and Russia.
