Symbolic but noticed. The flag of the Games of La Francophonie was transmitted to Armenia, host country of the next edition in 2027. The ceremony was held Thursday, June 27 at the headquarters of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. The Armenian Prime Minister's chief of staff, Araik Harutyunyan, traveled to the French capital for the occasion. The presentation of the Games flag to Armenia was followed by the signing of a partnership agreement with the International Committee of the Games of La Francophonie (CIJF). It officially makes Armenia and its capital, Yerevan, the hosts of the sporting and cultural event in 2027. Next step: the sports program. It has not yet been determined, but it should make room for urban disciplines.
