The big day is approaching. The relay of The Olympic flame will be launched on December 6th from Rome. and will travel across Italy for two months, before arriving in Milan for the opening of the Games on February 6. 10,001 personalities will take turns to advance the flame along the route. The Milan-Cortina 2026 organizing committee has just unveiled three new names.
Antonella Palmisano, Olympic champion in the 20km walk in TokyoShe is among the chosen ones. She had shone during a particularly rich summer for Italian athletics, which had brought home no less than five gold medals in 2021. Returning to Tokyo this year for the World Championships, Palmisano won silver in the 35km, behind the Spaniard Maria Perez.

Giacomo Agostini, legendary motorcycle figure With his 15 world championship titles in the 1960s and 1970s, he was also selected to participate in the relay. The latest name to join the list: basketball player Marco Belinelli, NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014.
