Interim President of the Rwandan Olympic Committee since 2023, Alice Umulinga has been officially elected as head of the RNOSC at the General Assembly in Kigali. As the only candidate, she was unanimously elected. “Our top priority is to create an environment where athletes come first, where governance is transparent and Rwanda earns its rightful place on the world sporting stage. Together, we can build a more inclusive, more efficient and financially more sustainable sports ecosystem for our athletes and their entourage”, she said. Christian Gakwaya and Salama Umutoni will be vice-presidents in this new executive committee, and Joseph Kajangwe will be secretary general.
