World Archery is looking for its future Secretary General. The IF has launched a recruitment process to determine Tom Dielen's successor. The Belgian, defeated for the presidency in September, left his role on October 10. In the meantime, it is the new executive director Juan Carlos Holgado, Olympic champion at the Barcelona Games, who will assume the role of secretary general.

A real page is turning since Tom Dielen has worked 26 years at World Archery, from 1996 to 2002 then from 2005 to 2025. When taking stock, he was pleased to have contributed to achieving " a perfect balance between men and women in terms of prize money ", to " progress made by disabled archery " and improving TV production. " I can say that I am leaving the organization with a real legacy. For me, Archery has never been so respected, so publicized and as active on social media as today ", the Belgian rejoices.

« We are deeply grateful to Tom for his many years of dedicated service to our organization and wish him every success in the future., said Greg Easton, President of World Archery. His leadership and commitment have played an important role in the development of World Archery, which is today a respected global organization. » Dielen remains Vice President of the International World Games Association (IWGA), a position to which he was elected in 2023.
