The organizational contract of African School Games 2027 The agreement is signed. The Nigerian National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) formalized the signing in Abuja. Mustapha Berraf was present, as were ANOCA's First Vice-President João Da Costa and Secretary General Ahmed Hashim.
« Developing grassroots sport in Nigeria is one of our missions, and at this level, school sport must form the foundation. That is why we collaborate closely with the Federal Ministry of Education, says the president of the CNS, Mallam Shehu Dikko. Our mission also includes modernize our sports infrastructure across the country, and the organization of these Games is fully in line with this perspective. That is why we are very enthusiastic about welcoming the rest of Africa next yearand I can assure the ANOCA that with its collaboration, Nigeria will deliver world-class Games, as we have done in the past. »
The country recently hosted the African Games African Championships (COJA) and the CAA U18 and U20 Athletics Championships. It has also expressed interest in hosting the Commonwealth Games.
