Casting change at the International Skating Union (ISU). The body announced the recruitment of a new general director, the British Colin Smith (photo above). He will succeed Fredi Schmid, general director of the ISU since 1996, who will retire at the end of 2023. Colin Smith will join the body in October 2023, before taking the helm more fully from the 1st January 2024. Having worked in particular at UEFA and the PGA European Golf Tour, the Englishman was best known in the sports movement for his long stint at FIFA, where he held the position of tournament manager between 2015 and this year. and events, including the Football World Cup.
